Watt d'Or
Take part in the Watt d'Or, the Swiss energy prize, which is awarded annually by the Federal Office of Energy. It honors outstanding achievements and innovative projects in the energy sector that set new standards and contribute to a sustainable energy future.
Criteria
The level of innovation and significant energy benefits in terms of Swiss energy policy must be available. In addition to the fact that the projects must inspire experts, they should also be understandable, comprehensible and inspiring for laypeople.
Description
Every year at the beginning of January, the Federal Office of Energy BFE presents the “Watt d'Or” award as part of the New Year's event. It honors the most innovative and at the same time most useful energy projects of the previous year. In the opinion of the awardee, the future-oriented innovative strength of the respective individuals and organizations deserves appropriate recognition and public visibility.
Award
The award is not endowed with prize money, nor are winning ranks distributed. However, all award-winning projects receive a certificate and a trophy. Above all, the prize winners benefit from media presence and an image boost. They can advertise with the award and their level of recognition increases.
